Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Clip Markers.

So I’m in the bin and I arrow down the clip to display the list of Markers.

I click the marker and now im at the clip location.

I want to matchframe back to my clip in the bin much in the way my beloved Avid does but Final Cut will not allow it.

Am I doing something wrong or is this just another example of Apples sick sense of humor?

If your subclip is in the timeline, you can press Shift + F and it will find the master clip for you in the Browser. It must be in the timeline, though. If you loaded a marker into the Viewer, it should still be selected in the Browser. Since it is directly under the master clip, it’s easy to find.

One thing to keep in mind is that FCP is not Avid. It’s not worth your time to force FCP to be like your “beloved” Avid. A lot of people make this mistake.

With the clip in the Viewer, go to MODIFY and select REMOVE SUBCLIP LIMITS. There you go.

There are many thing that Avid does well that FCP simply cannot do (sadly). But then there are things that FCP can do that Avid cannot…sadly.
