  Do only HDcam’s shoot progressive or do all prosumer cams have this setting?

  Some SD cams do, some SD cams don’t. Depends on the camera.

  XDCAM will shoot in 24p and 25p, even the SD
  500 series. 24p requires an expansion board
  though.
