  Building HD/SD Editing System

  Hi Everyone,

  I am recently in film school and am trying to build my own editing system at home… However, apart from knowing the actual software that I want, FCS, I have no idea what hardware I will need… Can someone tell me what capture cards, breakout boxes, etc. are for?

  I know, I know, I am incredibly ignorant on this topic. However, if you never ask, you will never know. Thanks, all!
