    Hi,
its the old white dotted line question again..
I have some footage, filmed wide screen and then captured into FCP with DV PAL anamorphic setting, and I am getting white dotted line appearing at the top left of my video.
This seems to fit the description in another post of VITC data that should be invisible but drops down into the visible area.
Is there a way of getting rid of it without scaling, or croppping the video, or having to add a 3px black line to hide it afterwards?

Was wandering if there is something I should do on capture.. my deck is
Sony DSR 1500 AP and am capturing via SDI.

    Many Thanks in Advance..
    Eugene

No. You’ll see the full frame in the canvas and in QT exports, but the video was intended to be displayed on TV sets with overscan. You have to do something if you don’t want to see that. Scaling up a few percentage points is the easiest and it will not be perceptible, so what’s the problem?

Your QT export settings have a cropping option as well, someplace, I know I’ve seen it… so you can save it for very last.
