ok, first off. my sequence audio settings are 48kHz, 16-bit depth and channel grouped.
project is around 40mins in length.
the problem lies with my imported audio tracks, usually 44.1kHz WAV files.
sometimes, randomly (or so it seems) a track will start from halfway in, instead of the start.
the weird bit is, if i zoom in, the waveforms will be the right ones for the start of the song, but as the play-head runs over them i hear part of the song from later down the line.
and the handles wont work so i cant just drag out the front of the clip so it plays from the start again.
i have to re import the files and copy paste all the level keyframes ive done on it.
it happened a few times at the start of my project, but now its getting more and more frequent and the deadline is near for the soundmix. I dont want to be exporting OMF’s with this glitch problem randomly stuffing up tracks all over the place.
if anyone has experienced this before or has any tips, much appreciated!!

    Very odd.

Export those WAV files to 48K AIFF. Reconnect Media. See if that helps

I have had that problem. I suspect you have the audio set up so that is renders the 44.1 files. Final Cut seems to get audio renders connected wrong at times. Getting the file unrendered will likely bring it back to normal. The way to avoid the whole problem is to convert them to the proper sample rate and bring them back in, if that is not too much work. Anyhow that might be the problem.

    good luck..

    Jason
