    Hi,

Basic question here – I’ve just downloaded a Day for Night Filter that says:

To install, place the plugin in your plugins folder here:

    /Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins/

However that was for FCP3 before Studio came out so that pathway doesn’t exist on my system.

Any ideas??? It’s the first time I’ve used a 3rd party plugin and have no idea.

    Cheers

    Ed

    [Edmond Buckley] “/Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins/ “

    that’s the correct spot

create it if it doesn’t exist

Exactly what kind of filter is this? FXScript? FxPlug? There are a number of different locations, and some new ones for new filters.

    All the best,

That plug-in may or may not work. Anything that old is dicey as to whether or not it will crash FCP.

That’s the Library folder on your system disk, not the library folder for your user.

    It should be there.

Thanks – I was looking in the library in my profile rather than the system disk.

And it’s a great filter by the way – made my little piece look really dusky.

    Best,

    Ed
