  Basic Motion Info in an EDL

  Is it possible to export an EDL with Basic Motion info such as Scale, Rotation, Center, and Anchor Point.

  I’ve recently inherited a project from another editor who used the wrong sequence settings for the project. I had to remove the Distortion and Basic Motion effects from all the clips after I copied them into a new sequence with the correct settings.

  Now the problem is some of the shots were scaled up to crop out the boom mic in the shot, or some shots were flipped for a better edit. I’m looking for a precise way to see what shots were originally flipped or scaled or whatever, without having to compare the two sequences by eye. It’s feature length with many cuts, and deadline is approaching quick.

  Any suggestions?

  An EDL will not contain this information but FCP’s XML representation of the sequence will (File > Export > XML) … if you are not familiar with the XML structure then it may not be as readable as you might wish, an XML browser/editor such as OxygenXML (https://www.oxygenxml.com/) or even just the QuickLook plugin ColorXML may help (https://www.araneum.it/macosx/ last item on the page)
