  Audio Scrubbing

  Hi,

  When I scrub through video footage in fast forward (ie. pressing “L” more than once) the sound stutters and cannot be understood. Does anyone know how to fix this? I am running FCP 6.0.5 on a dual processor G5 tower with 2T Raid external Glyph drive.

  I think this is a function of FCP…I like AVID’s scrubbing MUCH better…it’s less digital and sounds more like sped up audio – like a chipmunk 🙂

  did you ever find any solution to the *digital – choppy* scrub? I’ve been editing a ton of sound lately and the scrub in Final Cut is horrendous.

  This is very annoying for me too. Rendering codec is HDV 1080/60i
