I have a film edited in Final Cut Pro 6. I need to provide the video portion to another person for color grading and correction. They use a different system than Final cut pro. Do I provide them with a Quick Time movie for them to color correct on and then they give it back to me and replace the video I currently have in Final Cut Pro? Will I lose any quality? Or is ther a nother way I should be doing this when working with outside vendors? I have always color corrected myself but for this project I want to farm it out and I am not sure the correct way to do this.

    Thanks,

    Scott

THis is not something you ask us…because we have NO CLUE what the person who is color correcting is using, and what they want. You need to communicate with them. Ask them what they need to color correct the show. Only they can’t tell you exactly what they need, and how to get it to them.
