  • mix ccir and square pixels?

Posted by Joel K. on April 27, 2009 at 7:24 pm

I have footage that was shot 1920×1080 HD.
I have footage that was shot 720×486 SD.

    both in proress HQ codecs.

HD has square pixels, SD is CCIR.

The HD footage is being played in an SD timeline along with the SD footage. Therefore shots with both pixel types are mixed. Will this cause me any problems is laying off to digibeta or exporting an animation file of the whole show? Thank you in advance.

    Hi Joel,
    No problem.
I guess that you will edit all that in a Proress or 10b Unc sequence.
If your HD footage is not 10b, before rendering set “Render all YUV material in High precision” and “Render Motion Effects: BEST” . This should help with the downscaling of the HD footage.
    Which is your delivery format?

Thanks so much Rafael. We are delivering on digibeta and animation files on an external HD. I appreciate you getting back to me.
