capture now pixelation
Hello…I used “capture now” to capture clips to my iMac from a Sony PD-150 camera. The captured clips show pixelation distortion in three places along the left edge of the image (not drop-out but blocky chunks of pixels and matching audio distortion). The footage played to a TV monitor from the same source tapes in the camera does NOT show this image/audio distortion. Is this a problem with “capture now”?

It’s possible the distortion is in the signal playing on your TV monitor. Have you looked at the image in underscan? It may be the cowling of your monitor is cutting off that portion of the image that has the distorsion.
How is the PD-150 connected to your iMac? Is it the same camera that shot the footage? What are your capture settings?
