FCP to FLV????
Posted by Peter Cooke on April 21, 2009 at 10:35 pmi read that it’s possible to export from FCP to H264 and then chance the extension to FLV for flash.
Is this correct?????Todd Reid replied 17 years ago 3 Members · 3 Replies -

April 21, 2009 at 11:08 pmYes, that is possible, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it will play in all Flash players or on all systems. I highly recommend that you research precisely what the limitations are before proceeding down that path.
Frankly Peter, my head is so wrapped-up this moment in a ridiculously complicated film proposal I’m writing about clinical oncology, that I can’t remember all of my findings on the topic of changing h.264 files to .FLVs, but I did decide against going that route due to certain limitations.
I wish I could be more specific, but clinical oncology has the better part of brain wrapped around it at this moment…

April 23, 2009 at 5:21 pmFind someone that has CS4 and (using a “final cut” quicktime) encode to flash using Adobe Media Encoder.
I get great results in my conversions to flash.
