Edit to tape from FCP to BETA SP help
Hello every one, I’m a new user and I would like your help. I’m trying to export footage to Beta sp sony UVW 1800P via edit to tape function, I use DATAVIDEO DAC 15 and I’ve managed to import YRB video into FCP with out any problems.
Now, the problem is digital cut, I would like to do an insert edit and all I get is a freeze frame of the first frame of my sequence and broken time code on the mark in point. If you have any thoughts please let me know.

To make Video Inserts you need to have the tape striped with a continuous CTL and TC.
If there is a jump in the TC is because you have done something wrong. Try to set the VTR to be controlled by CTL instead of TC. You may get the insert done, but the TC jump will remains.

Thanks Rafael, I’ll give it a try, the TC is set to LTC, I’ll switch it to CTL. Anyway the tape was striped with black burst and continuous TC. Thank you!!!!

Sorry to butt in. This may not be relevant.
My old 1880s required manually getting into the setup menu to perform reliable insert edits unless a full rs422 control lashup was available. We used an ancient and obscure rs422 port thingy on they old G3s and G4s (modem replacement doodad) but the G5s and Intels no longer have such a device available, AFAIK.bogiesan
