Looking for pointers or tutorials on creating a stream of liquid that will move across the screen holding it’s “line” shape. I would like it to have a finite size. For example, the liquid will squirt from a bottle as a stream of say 6 inches long and it will move through the air maintaining it stream shape until it exits the far side of the frame.

I would try messing with Mr.Mercury on a blue animated fractal noise and maybe Trapcode’s Particular, you can get a decent liquid effect with that.

I would add the CC Glue Gun effect. You won’t fool anyone into thinking it’s actually water without some serious work, but it gives a good stylized impression of liquid.

Yes I’ve been playing with both Mr. Mercury and the Glue Gun. I could do a constant stream across the screen but could not figure out how to do just a segment that emits and continues across the screen maintaining the original stream shape. Any thoughts?
