Particle generators pluginz
Just wondering if there is a consensus as to which Particle Generator app is best. I’m considering Wondertouch (does this work as a plug in?) or Trapcode Particular.

Particle Illusion is great, but it is a stand-alone app. Particular, while less powerful overall than PIllusion, is very capable, offers a great degree of control for a plugin and has an attractive price point.

Those are the two most common for After Effects use.
The only other particle systems I use are those included in 3D apps such as Maya. Ultimately 3D apps offer the best control and options, so if you have one available that might be your best bet.
