  Tracking applied to saved frame?

  I’ve saved a single frame (psd.), doctored it and then imported it back into my project as a layer. I need to apply tracking information from the live action background layer to the still frame layer in order to sync. up their movement. I don’t seem to be able to activate the psd. still frame layer in the tracking window and am finally at wits end. What should I be doing in order to apply the motion from the live action background to the image on the still layer?

  The layer within the PSD file has to reside within the same comp as the layer that you are tracking. Sounds like you’ve nested the layered PSD file

  Jump into the layered PSD composition. Select the layer and copy it. Then head on to the composition where you’re doing your tracking and paste this layer there.
