  Multiple Multi Clip from one source

  I have two tapes. HD & DV
  I have two separate clips on each of the tapes. HD:clip1 & clip2 and DV:clip1 & clip2
  The tapes have different start points for each of the four clips.
  I’m trying to make two separate time lines. separate movies.
  When I make one multi clip, it works great.
  Then I give a NEW start point for my second clip, my first is ruined.
  How to make two separate multi clips from one source?
  Do I dupe the clip? will that work.
  is there a better way?
