  FCP 6.0.5 audio out of sync

  Ok, I think i have the cats in somewhat of a herd…
  Hi everybody 🙂

  When i export audio to Pro Tools from FCP 6.0.5, edit it and send it back to FCP, it falls out of sync as the corresponding video plays in the timeline and lags.
  These are filter edits, the runtime remains the same…
  The cadence of the dialog is a solid… (thanks Juno).
  Is there a compressor setting i can use to get frame accurate export and import?
  It would be great to just export the audio, and inport it back for final video edits, but i will do anything to get this project out the door…and out of your life as well….
  i’ll credit you guys by “Special Thanks” but the content is way acrid/profane and generally angry…

  Check your ProTools frame rate. I just mentioned the other day that many ProTools setups assume 23.976 is really 24.0 so you’re resulting export will drift.

  It you’re really in 29.97, then make sure ProTools is in 29.97

  a very helpful trick that keeps everything in synch here
  start to finish is to provide a DV .mov file of that timeline
  with a timecode window so that the pro-tools engineer can verify
  the pro-tools timecode matches the DV video from head
  to tale.

  if it doesn’t you can address it before it comes
  back to you out of synch.

  thats the only way we do it here.
