  Final Cut Pro 6 Capture Error

  I’m having a capture error in Final Cut Pro 6.

  I have a play in which I’m trying to record as one huge clip, but when I try to finish the capture it says a general error has occurred. The problem is semi fixed if I capture it in 10 min intervals but the problem is, this 60 min tape has no cuts.

  My question is there a way I can capture all of this footage without having to start and stop all the time.

  I’ve done this before in Final Cut 5 and it has worked.

  How is the drive you are capturing to formatted? If Fat32, you will have this issue as it has a 4GB limit…about 10 min of DV video. You need to format your media drive as MacOS Extended.
