Hey all, just got done doing a final export through compressor on an hour long instructional video. I used DVD 90min best. At the end of the DVD I have a longish standup of my subject and during the Standup a pixel shift gets progressively worse as the standup continues. Just as it gets bad I cut to a still and when I come back to the standup the flashing goes away… until the standup continues for a while and then the pixel shift slowly comes back. I inherited this project from a previous editor, I’ve never had this problem before but he said he had this problem before. His only solution was to export in small sections and piece it together in DVDSP.

Here is my take, it seems that the flashing happens every second and progressively gets worse with each flash. Is there a drop frame setting that I’m missing? WTF.

Does it need to be de-interlaced?

I don’t think it’s an interlace problem. The rest of the video is fine except for these few standups at the end of the DVD. It’s not like a scan line shift it’s more of a pixelation shift every second. I’m attempting to put the very end of the video (only the part with the problem) Through compressor again and then plug it into the DVDSP timeline. That is what the previous editor has had to do. However, I’ve never had this problem. I’m wondering if it has something to do with how he set up the project.
