  HDR-FX7 Capture Quality

  I’m using FCP 6.02, iMac G5 4GB memory, video camera is a Sony HDR-FX7. The MiniDV tapes where recorder at HDV1080i format. Within FCP, I have tried several different setting and can not get any to capture at 1080i quality. I can pull the Sony directly into a HD TV and everything looks great. But the capture is poor almost less than SD quality. Any items?

  Without telling us what settings you have used unfortunately its would be hard to say.

  By chance is your camera down converting the footage to DV?

  There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
  Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!
