I have been assigned to work on a project with equipment thats more advanced than me. Here are my problems:

Ok so I shot footage with a Panasonic DVCPROHD at 720p24 and a 16:9 aspect ratio. What should my project settings look like?

When I watch the clips that I imported they look fine. But when I put them on my timeline and watch them, thy are squeezed and you can see the black bars on top and bottom.

Also, I speed up some of my footage to a speed of 3000 and it looks all liney and interlaced. What am I doing wrong here guys? Thanks!

Thanks that worked! Are my project settings right? This is what I have:

    Sequence Preset: DVCPRO HD-720p24
Capture Preset: DVCPRO HD-720p24 48 kHz
    Device Preset: HDV FireWire NDF
Video Playback: AJA Kona 720p25 8 bit DVCPROHD (1280x 720)

Also, I am working in an editing suite that has a TV monitor to preview your work. When the timeline is still, you can see the image on the monitor. But when you play the timeline or render a preview, it wont play on the monitor. How can I fix this?! Thanks!
