Reconnect HDV footage from Tape PLEASE HELP!
Strange! A few of my clips captured using the HDV 1080p24 Easy Setup and the Canon XH A1 were deleted accidentally.
Now I am trying to reconnect them by selecting them in my bin and using batch capture to reconnect them.
This works fine except that the clips are about two seconds off. They start capturing two seconds early and stop two seconds early. This of course means that all clips on my timeline from this footage is out of sync too.
I have tried this using both drop and non drop settings on the XH A1 and have sufficient pre roll etc.
Has anyone ever come across a problem like this? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

This is all too common a problem because people insist on capturing HDV and ignoring timecode breaks. I suspect the problem was in the initial capture and in recapturing you are discovering this problem. You will have to increase your handle size, capture the shot and then manually roll the shot back into the correct sync.
I online HDV and often recapture and this is my standard fixup.
