With no notice I just got a error-message in FCP 6. I’ve been working on a project wich includes a lot of “external” sound-clips and still images. Suddenly I’m not able to import any files to my project. The error messages I get when I
    (1) try to just drag and drop files to FCP; “File error: unknown file”.
    (2) try to use file->import->files: “File error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown”.

This happens whatever file I try on my computer. It doesn’t matter if it is a aiff, jpeg, png, mov, or whatever other file.

I’ve seen similar issues on this and other forums, but nothing that relates to this issue.

I’m about to reinstall FCP, but it would be great if someone have any suggestions/solutions for me.

I’ve been using Logic and CS3 (photoshop) during this project.

    Regards,
    Kristian

had a similar problem a while ago….try a couple of things….trash your FCP preferences, they’re in your Library, Preferences…then restart and relaunch. If that doesn’t work, save the project over again, with a different name, then try it again…that’s worked for me once. Good luck.
