Accidentally deleted rendered audio – HELP!
What can I do if the rendered audio from the main project is deleted?
Yikes! Made a huge mistake earlier today- accidentally deleted all the rendered audio off of the scratch disk (where it was assigned to) for my current project. I’m in the process of copying all the files from the trash and saving back onto the scratch disk but for some reason I’m it seems like not everything is there.
My question is if for some reason, this doesn’t work, is there anything I can do to restore the audio? Due to filters I added last night, I’ve lost entire scenes and music. Working on a mac book pro with final cut pro.

You can always just re-render the audio.
There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.

I tried that earlier, but nothing happened. Then I noticed my FCP projects say that the audio media is offline and when I try and re-connect, it doesn’t reconnect or it doesn’t hold the “reconnection”. In addition, all the deleted audio files are white-ish while the working files (video & audio) are grey-ish.
That is when I decided to paste all the files back onto the scratch disk that I somehow deleted.What am I missing? Like Zane says, it should just be as simple as re-rendering, but that’s not working.

so what can I do to get it back?
1. Is it a matter of reconnecting the files to the source?
2. Or do I need to start from the beginning with linking the audio files to the clips (I’ve actually used) as was done in the beginning and then re-formating the files to get the shots I had?
I’m hoping there is a way to make this “hiccup” as painless as possible with the capabilities of today’s technology.
