Placing video without audio
Posted by Neville Cross on March 4, 2009 at 12:44 pmHi everybody,
I have captured a load of video with audio for future reference but for now i dont need the audio.
Does anybody know how place the footage from the browser into the sequence without the audio? This would just save having to unlink the audio and delete it every time.
Cheers
Nev

March 4, 2009 at 4:08 pmDear Neville cross,
This question is too basic even for the FC Basic forum.
In the audio tracks click the A1/A2 buttons.
You will see that the left side (a1/a2) get detached to the left.
No you can drag the clips to the sequence.
You see?
The audio don’t get lied in the sequence.
If you want to edit just picture in a sequence where you have already lied the sound, just lock the audio channels (the small locker icon to the left).

March 4, 2009 at 4:20 pmThanks, i am working from 8 channel beta tape and it still places channels 3 to 8 unless you lock all the channels. Didnt realise there was a basic forum as well.
