offline online for animation project
hi, i’m new here, only familiar with the basics of FCP. i’m finishing up an animation project for which i need to do a little basic editing.
my output quicktime files from the animation software (toon boom studio so originally vector based) are in “animation” 2048X1536, my good old quad G5 seems to have trouble dealing with them. i’m not too sure how to setup FCP and its sequence settings.. i tried film academy with quicktime compressor set to animation.
anyway, i always need to render and even then, the playback is tough. so i thought to edit offline.
but while basically understanding the concept of course, i’m not really understanding how to achieve it successfully.
of course, i could simply without using media manager, make smaller copies of my big files. then make my sequence go offline and then try and reconnect with the bigger files.. but then my sequence would be in the wrong setting and i’m not sure it that’s the best to achieve what i need. if anyway can help me out that would be great. thx – pierreps: at the end i will need to export from FCP a file both in 2048×1536 and in a smaller pal standard size.
