  Capturing without timecode?

  Hello all

  I am trying to capture a VHS tape into final cut, and having trouble as there is no Timecode on the tape. Perhaps someone may know a way to do it.

  I am going from my VCR into a DV camera, and from there into the Log and Capture interface. I can get whats on the VCR to show up in the Log and Capture window. However, once I go to “Capture Now” it won’t actually capture because it is waiting for TC.

  Is there a way to get it so that FCP doesn’t need TC to capture?

  If anyone has any thoughts on how to do it, I would love your advice.

  Set the capture setting to uncontrollable device.
