    Hey all,

I’m working in Final Cut Pro on a 16:9 Anamorphic DV PAL Sequence.

Obviously, it looks fine ratio-wise in Final Cut, but I was just wondering – is there any way of exporting a Quicktime that’ll automatically retain its 16:9 ratio/proportions, rather than appearing as a vertically stretched-looking 4:3 movie? I already know how to alter the playback in Quicktime Player; I just wanted to know if the Quicktime movie itself can be made to stay 16:9.

    Thanks in advance,
    Greig.

If you export via Quicktime Conversion, you can constrain the frame size to be a true 16×9 frame size instead of anamorphic. Of course, exporting via QT Conversion will also take longer than your standard QT export.
