Upconverting PAL sequence to 1440 x 1080 50i sequence, Please Help
Hello All,
I’ve looked around the forums and can’t seem to find a post that addresses this issue regarding up-converting.
To give you information regarding this case; I have created a PAL sequence with HDV footage down-converted to PAL through capture. Now I would like to take this same sequence and up-convert it for HDV export, specifically export to a .MOV file using the Apple ProRes 422 codec.
Workflow followed:
-using media manager, I created a copy of the sequence deleting all unused media. (this is basically for saving space)
-this gave me a list of already trimmed clips of all the footage used in the sequence.
-I then made all these clips offline in preparation for HDV batch capture.I have copied all the offline footage to a new 1440 x 1080 sequence, and began batch capture.
Now everything was going well with the capture, however what seems to be happening is all the clips in the sequence have values in the Motion Tab:
-Basic Motion > Scale: 200%
-Distort > Aspect Ration: -6.67Now this is a pretty minor problem and the immediate fix is manually changing the Scale and Distortion for all the clips, however I was wondering how I can avoid this problem in light of saving time for future projects.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
