Automating Trimming from Large Video File
Hello everyone,
I’m trying to figure out a cost-effective way to trim out 2,500 pieces of video from one long file. Specifically, there will be approximately 10 hours of footage where the person on-camera will be reading a 3-4 second clip, then pausing for 3-4 seconds and repeating the script, but with a one different word in the script, and so on.
My friend says he thinks there’s a way to automate the process to set markers when the audio starts and stops. Does anyone know if this is possible? And if so, can FCP batch process to cut out all the dead space in between takes and save each take as a separate file?
Once I get these thousands of mini-files trimmed, then I need to marry them to the beginning of a 20 second video. Can this be automated as well?
What I’m trying to create are 2,500 unique videos without having to spend the time to manually trim and edit each one.
Thanks!
