Hi, I just got a Wacom Bamboo tablet and I’m curious if those of you who use tablets use the whole tablet area (and move the hand) or have set only a part of the active area and move only wrist… Thanks

    Whole tablet. I have two 24″ monitors with a 6×11 Intuos 3.

I too am a whole tablet user. But try it both ways. Which way work better for YOU?

I also use the entire tablet – I find this gives me greater resolution/accuracy and has the benefit of distributing the (physical) work you’re doing throughout the arm. More focused, repetitive movements, as I understand it, are more likely to cause fatigue and injury.

(I’m not a doctor, but I did watch St. Elsewhere back in the day.)

    Cheers,

Thanks for your replies, I will take the time to get used to it. One more question – is there any way to speed up scrolling with pen when pressing the bottom button and dragging over the tablet?

I use the whole tablet but in ‘Mouse’ mode rather than absolute mode – i.e. I can pick up and ‘stroke’ the cursor across the screen. I find this gives me the resolution I want and keeps my wrist active…
