• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  Playback/Audio problems.

  Hey all,

  Having a strange issue with FCP. Have a 14-minute project edited. 1080i/60P video native from EX1. Multi-layer graphics and music.

  Sometimes the timeline plays back fine. But, right now, it stops playback every 5 to 10 seconds. It sounds like the audio is taking a hit…scratchy?

  At a loss. Is it a setting?

  Have you tried an audio mixdown (Sequence>Render Only>Mixdown)? It will help if you have many audio tracks. Also, have you checked your drives for problems? If their speed has been affected by anything, that could cause dropped frames.
