I have AjA kona card that i use to view my edits from FCP on tv. I am having problems viewing uncompressed 8 videos on the tv. I believe it is a problem with finalcut because when i open the uncompressed mov file with AJA tv it plays back fine. When I try to playback on my timeline all i see is the frame that my playhead start at. The footage plays in FC fine. My seq setting are
    1280×720
    30fps
    compressor-uncompressed 8
my video playback output is aja kona 8 720p

What’s the format of your original source footage? Is it Uncompressed footage?

Well the original source footage was an image seq (maya) and it was compressed as aja 2vuy. I then compressed it as uncompressed 8 and I’m working with that now.

It’s probably not playing because you set your framerate to 30 fps in a 720p sequence. Try using the 720p 59.94 easy setup.
