    Hi,

I have some logo artwork that I need to apply a stroke to. I did this in Photoshop since I’m going to be using numerous iterations of the logo and didn’t want to have to apply an effect to each iteration. However, the stroke I apply around the logo in Photoshop doesn’t show up in AE. AE simply ignores it. Is there a way to use the stroke function in Photoshop and have it show up in AE or do I have to actually paint it in Photoshop? Also, if all else fails, is there a stroke effect in AE I cold apply to the logo?

    Thanks for your help.

    Eric

I just answered my own question. I wasn’t able to make the stroke effect in Photoshop appear in AE (If anyone knows if this is possible, please let me know.), but using the stroke command under the Edit menu does show up in AE.

    Thanks,

    Eric

Unfortunately, you have to “smartobject” the layer before import, or something of that nature.
Placing a blank layer under the effected photoshop layer and merging them together will work as well, the problem being that you’ve just created a picture and it doesn’t retain its text qualities for editing.
I think I remember seeing that cs3 corrected this issue.
