  Deinterlace or Flicker Filter

  I am working on Final Cut 6.0, cutting old 16mm family movies. I projected them on a wall and shot them with a DVX100 in 24p. The footage has the flashing projector effect and I am wondering if their is filter to use in FCP that will minimize this a little. Flicker? Deinterlace?

  Also – when I exported for DVD using MPEG4 the movie looks a little blurry and pixelated on the tv. What compressor should I use to get the highest quality picture on a standard television?

  Any and all tips would be most appreciated!

  Seq: DV NTSC 48kHz-23.98
  Cap: DV Adanced Pulldown Removal 2:3:3:2

  Thanks Dave. I corrected the sequence settings and it looks a lot better. Any advice on exporting for dvd? What setting will give it the highest quality playback?
