    Hi everyone,

i ran into a little issue a few days ago while capturing from a JVC camera (sorry, don’t know which one exactly) to FCP. The footage was shot on tape, HDV 720p30, 1280×720. When capturing, every time they paused the camera, in FCP the capture window will stop and give a warning (don’t remember exactly what it was but something along the lines of “the tape has presented some problems”). So, i was told that is kind of normal when capturing from tape after shooting HD (it happened with the Sony Z7 but it made a new clip every time they had paused the camera, just like the JVC is doing but without that annoying warning that made pretty much reset every time the new clip to be captured).

Is there a way to get rid of that warning and not having to reset in and outs every time, or just capture the whole tape?

BTW, the “abort when dropped frames” is unchecked, or when it was checked it said “warn after capture”

    thanks all.
    a.
