Audio level drop in FCP
When I import files recorded on an FS100 with our HDX900 into Final Cut, (6.0.5), the audio level drops 6db on everything, (including tone), everytime. Does anyone know how to correct this?

When dual mono is captured, I think FCP default is to pan the channels center. This results in the -6 levels. If you pan the channel hard left or right it will be normal. Can you confirm this?

Interesting. I’ll give that a try and let you know.
Presently I adjust a clip’s level either by simply raising it and/or adding compression and then copy that clip’s audio attributes to all the appropriate clips in that track in the sequence. It works beautifully but is an extra step I think should not be necessary.
