I have a 13GB QT file that I exported from FCP. The footage is 16×9 so I went through the solution apple gave to get it to be recognized as widescreen by iDVD. The file is now an hour long 853×480 QT .mov file. I am trying to burn it using iDVD (I do not have a DVD studio pro). However when iDVD gets to the point to process my movie (after processing the menu, slideshow etc) It gives me the error “Error in video rendering/encoding”

It has done this twice now, and I do not think the problem is with the video file, but I do not know.

Is it because the video file is too big (13GB) for a standard single layer DVD?

Is there anyway around this or to fix this? I’m not sure how to get this big project onto a DVD so it can be watched in a player on an LCD tv.

I’ve never used iDVD. How long is your program? Can you choose the data rate for encoding in iDVD? If so, what did you choose? Is it possible that the program would overfill the DVD and that’s why it’s stopping?
