Uninstalled Compressor – Install Disk will not let me install just Compressor, wants to install everything.
I just uninstalled compressor with the FCS uninstaller and now it won’t let me just install compressor. It want’s to install everything on the disk and all the checkboxes are checked off and greyed out.
Any ideas?

That means that the application haven’t been properly un-installed.

I used that to do the uninstall, restarted and emptied the trash. Then when I went to reininstall everything was prechecked and greyed out. I could uncheck some of the subdirectory boxes but not the root checkboxes. I ended up just uninstalling all of FCS because FCP was crashing a bit lately too. I had it on disk 2 when I left and will finish the rest in the morning. It takes forever to install FCS.
It would be nice if Apple included the software that you linked to. I didn’t even know that existed until Shane said it did in his blog.

If you install all the Motion+LiveType+Soundtrack stuff its takes ages. I have all that in an external HD so I avoid few hours installing.
What I don’t understand is why to install each application in 5 or 6 different languages.
Fc in English it takes only 75MB instead of the 340MB that I have right now. The System would work easier.
For years I’ve been cleaning by hand all the French, German, Japane, etc-projects. Once I had a problem after deleting some Chines Project files in Compressor so I don’t do it anymore.
