I am using Final Cut Express and have my Sony sr12 hooked up to my MacBook (2 GHz Intel Core Duo, 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM) and when I try to add clips in the Log and Transfer queue, the little icon spins around and then a red exclamation mark appears with the error: no data

I can see and playback all of the content on the camera in the preview window before adding to queue, and the clip’s thumbnail is in the queue, but for some reason this error comes up and the clip doesn’t get transferred into the sequence.

    Am I doing something wrong?

Greg: I hope somebody answers you/us because I am having a similar problem, and have the same set up, same computer, and I see the footage on the camera, but in the logtransfer window…nothing. another forum somewhere recommended deleting all the SD footage on the camera for final cut to see the HD footage, which I did, to no avail. It is unfortunate that Sony doesn’t make a Mac driver for the camera. It’s a nice camera but this is frustrating.
