Blending logo with video
I’m working with a logo and I want to blend it with video to make it look as if it was part of video when it was shot. I’ve seen or read how to do this somewhere, but now I don’t remember where. Can someone help me out or at least point me the right direction?

Is the logo to be static over a moving background as in a station ident or are you trying add a logo with the effect of having the same lighting as the background video?

It is a very broad question….
But you could try a few things…. Transfer modes…. motion tracking if there is mouvement…lighting…. lots of options….if it not a corporate logo (they are rightfully picky about you messing with their logos) you could add an adjustement layer and then use a slight tint with transfer mode etc…

Sorry for the boardness. Thanks for the help. Basically I have a logo that need to be on top of a building. It is an aerial shot that moves over the building and I want to make the logo look as if it was part of the video.

Although I haven’t used it myself, my understanding is that Syntheyes creates a Maya .ma file (or other 3D app) that can be imported into After Effects and used as camera data. It also populates the scene with 3D Null objects at the points where it was tracking which is very useful for easily placing an object into your scene, just parent the object to a null and set your transform values.
There is a demo version available, you can export the .ma files for AE but you can’t save the work you’ve done in Syntheyes. There may be other limitations as well:
