  AE CS3 Beta Preview Locks Up With MP Preference Checked

  Is anyone else having a problem with running AE CS3 Beta Preview in Multiple Processor mode? I check the box in the preferences panes and the app locks up. Then the only way to get it restarted is to trash the AE preferences. Right now the App is using less than 25% of the CPU monitoring it via Activity Monitor, would love to squeeze every last CPU cycle out of it.

  Mac OS X 10.4.9
  MacPro 2 X 2.67
  6GB RAM

  I have not seen these lock-ups. Make sure you’re using the Public Preview 2 (build x283) as some multiprocessing issues have been fixed for that one.
  As for the Activity Monitor, you don’t want to check the main app’s usage but the AESelfLink instances.

  I do have build x283 installed and unfortunately have yet to see any AESelflink instances due to the MP check box locking up the application. Perhaps a clean install will solve it, I’ll update if I can get it going.
