    Hi, All,

This feels like a really remedial issue… But I’m having a miniDV long capture sync issue.

I’m using FCP 6.0.5, and I thought all these things were in the past 🙂

I’ve got tapes from a 3 camera shoot. 1 camera was a Canon GL2, one was a Canon XL2, and one was a Canon XL1.

All were rolled simultaneously. They clap-boarded each time they stopped and started.

The XL2 and GL2 tapes digitize fine, no sync issues.

The Canon XL1 tape gets further and further out of sync. So, by the time a new clapboard appears 30 minutes into the tape, it a good 20 to 30 frames off. So the sound of the clapboard comes much later that the visual clap.

Unfortunately, the audio guy was feeding his good sound to the XL1 only. So it’s CRITICAL that I get this figured out.

I don’t see any place to tell FCP to adjust sync for clips longer than 5 minutes, which used to happen in older versions.

    Help!

    PS
I’m digitizing all tapes using a Sony DSR-40.

    Thanks!

    David
