Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Audio Hissing

I have some old footage from 16mm transfered over to DVcam and the audio has an unpleasant hiss in the background. I don’t know much about the audio filters and the random guess work has gotten me nowhere. Anyone know a filter that can reduce the hiss?

You might be able to eq it out to a degree. Using the three band, you could roll off your 10ks and see if that works. If not, Soundtrack Pro’s noise reduction filter will do an excellent job at this if you don’t over do it.
