  FCP DV50 footage to APP

  Hi Guys,

  I’m hoping someone here can help me. I shot some DV50 Greenscreen footage that needs to end up in an Adobe Premiere Pro environment. The camera was a Panasonic SDX900, and the footage was recorded in the 30 Progressive mode — the final output on tape is actually at 29.97 fps interlaced.

  That editor informed me that the clips I digitized for him, within Final Cut Pro, wouldn’t open. He came to the conclusion that APP doesn’t support DVCPRO50, either in AVI or MOV. He has asked for the footage in the standard DV codec (which is DV25 — which looks rotten for Greenscreen work).

  I’ve never been down this road before. Can anyone offer some advice?

  You may want to check out DVFilm Encoder Pro. It enables PPro to read and write dvcpro50 files and dvcproHD.
