HD footage erroneously rendered into NTSC sequence
Greetings,
Client gave me a project that consists of DVCPRO HD 960×720 footage, which is contained within a DV NTSC sequence. I would like to have the edit reverted to DVCPRO HD, but I’m not sure how to do it.
I have all the source clips in the original DVCPRO HD encoding; but when I copy-paste the edit from NTSC timeline into the newly-created DVCPRO HD timeline, the pasted clips do not change their attributes back to DVCPRO HD, — rather, they show up as tiny DV NTSC on the background of large DVCPRO HD window.
This probably entails a really simple fix, but I have no idea how to approach the issue… would really appreciate your help!

HIghlight all of the clips, Control-click on them, choose REMOVE ATTRIBUTES. Check the DISTORT box…might need to do BASIC MOTION too, but try DISTORT first.

Hi Michael,
You need to select the clips in the new HD sequence and “Remove Attributes: Basic Motion + Distort.
Your DVCProHD will fit in the canvas. Then you need to fit the DV footage too. Drop any DV clip in the HD sequence, copy and paste the attribute to the rest of the DV footage in the sequence.

I tried what you suggested, and it worked. Thanks so much for your response.
Meanwhile, I’ve been poking around, and found another solution: Modify -> Conform to sequence.
