UVW-1800 Display fried
Posted by Will Eccleston on January 13, 2009 at 4:32 amAnyone know where I can buy an LCD Module for a Sony UVW-1800? It seems that they all fry after awhile, and mine is fried.
Thanks,
Will

You will need the part number for the panel.
Otherwise there are MANY of these machines on eBay right now. You could pick one up and salvage the PC board out of it. I haven’t torn down an 1800 but it’s not usually too difficult to do the front panels.
Depending on your location, there may be a service site that could help out as well.

January 13, 2009 at 6:47 pmLCD? I thought they were LEDs. Just powerd mine up. I suppose they could be backlit LCDs. Hmm, every other row is kinda dark. Rats.
Yar, might be cheaper to replace the deck than the display. Ever gotten inside one of these things? Ain’t pretty.
