Problems burning audio from iDVD
Hi there,
I can’t even begin to tell you the amount of problems I’ve had doing such a seemingly simple thing, and that is burning a 5-minute video that I edited in FCP 5 and getting the sound to work!! I’ve exported it to a QT file, and have tried everything from burning it in iDVD with a theme etc, to burning it as a OneStep DVD from Movie. The audio tracks just are not there when I open the files!! There is a VIDEO TS folder FULL of clips, but the AUDIO TS folder has nothing in it!! Why???
This is for a client and I need to have a bunch of copies burned by tomorrow, but I cannot figure out what the problem is! Please please please someone help!!!

The AUDIO TS folder is always empty on a DVD. Have you actually played a disc to see if there’s sound, or are you just assuming there isn’t any because that folder is empty?

Hey Sean,
Thanks for getting back to me so fast… I have this client who is trying to make copies of the DVD that I burned for him, but he tells me that he keeps running into problems with burning it because “there are no audio files” he keeps saying to me (although the audio DOES work)! I guess I am just not sure what to tell him when he asks why there are no audio files, and why he can’t take the DVD and burn it. Is there a specific setting that I might be missing that will help enable him to burn the contents? I appreciate your help.

Does anyone know why the Audio TS folder is always empty on a DVD? I just want to be able to explain to the client why this is. Thank you!
