Stylish Edit Suite Furniture
Posted by Matt Jones on January 7, 2009 at 3:22 pmHey Guys,
A bit off-topic, but I thought this would be the right place to post.
I’m looking for some stylish, high-end edit suite furniture to house two separate Final Cut edit stations in our studio. Anything that would hide wires in the back would be a plus as well.
I know you guys all have your own unique set-ups so I’d love to get some feedback. Thanks!

January 7, 2009 at 3:28 pmcosts a bit more, but well worth it. All three of our suites have their desks and we just love them. you can visit our website and see each of the rooms in the studio tour.

January 7, 2009 at 5:45 pmI’ve always liked the idea of using furniture that is the “opposite” of the hardware that rests on it. Meaning, outfitting a computer office with furniture that makes you think you’re in a rugged log cabin or ski lodge. Very dark wood furniture, heavy, and elegant which is always the opposite of any furniture that’s designed for “high-tech” offices. I hate all those metal desks with their laminate tops (which I’m using right now!). Obviously, I like the contrast of having these beautiful Mac’s integrated with very naturalistic materials. Too bad nobody specializes in that.
We had an Anthro desk in Seattle. I hated the specific model we had, because the features it had were never what I needed, but this was more the model we had (I didn’t pick it out) than the desk itself.
These guys seem to have a nice variety of desks as well:

Ibid!
I use a beautiful butcher block trestle table that fits 3 monitors, speakers a Wacom tablet & a mixer. It’s very comfortable for me, particularly since I’m a bit short, & it’s waaaay nicer than all of those (IMO) overpriced “high-tech” consoles made from laminated particle board. It cost me $200 or $300 at Ikea a couple of years ago.
They also have a good line of office furniture, much of which is modular & can be configured for length, width, height and finish.

March 15, 2017 at 1:44 pmYes, its a bit off topic, but it’s a nice question. Now-a-days it difficult to find good furniture. My friend last year was worried because of his old furniture, then his friend asked him to check office furniture miami online office furniture site. They help in redesigning and installation of furniture as per need.
